Euro Security Systems has been accredited with the provision of the management and operation of closed-circuit television (CCTV) system scheme in accordance with the requirements of BS 7958: 1999 including BS 7858: 1996 and the relevant requirements of BS 7499: 2002.  DPA Registration Number: Z 6048438.

Why have you decided to install a CCTV System?

There are many reasons why people decide to invest in a CCTV System.

  • To prevent and detect Crime.

  • The identification and prosecution of Offenders.

  • To provide a safe working environment.

  • Health and Safety issues.

Ensure that you have taken the issue seriously.  There are many aspects to take into account, such as 'Civil Liberties' and the 'Data Protection Act 1998'.

It is also important to address planning permission for the installation of an external system.

Ensure that the installation Company is NSI/BSIA recognized.

This depends on the activities of the operators.


Security Screening should be in place.


Observe the Civil Rights of the public.


BS7958: The management & Operation of CCTV systems should be hold up as best practice for all Control Rooms.


Scheme Holders

The name and address of the CCTV scheme holder should be on display.

In the event of a complaint of positive feedback it is essential that the customer is able to make swift contact with the controller or designated coordinator of the scheme.

If it is a Data Protection request, the prospective Data subject should be able to observe from the relevant signs:

  • Name of Controller/Co-ordinator.

  • Contact address.

  • Contact telephone number.

Once contact has been made it should be a speedy service delivery.


Making a Complaint... or Feedback


Our procedure applies to all complaints regarding the CCTV Management System, whether formal or informal, written or verbal.

  •  On receipt of a complaint, record full details.

  • Send Acknowledgement letter.

  • Record full details on relevant form.

  • Decide on appropriate action.

  • Record action and results.

  • Retain report and review at QMR.

  • When customer is satisfied 'Close'  complaint.
